Case Studies

These case studies demonstrate some of the solutions we have implemented on behalf of our customers.

Robust managed hosting solution

Blue Chip Vacations have been hosting with ForLinux since 2008. Their solution consists of three servers, the first is a cPanel server which handles the main website and associated databases. The second is a dedicated backup server which also handles their e-mail along with virus and spam checking and, finally, a Windows server which runs their own application along with some of the back office tasks.

Alan Taylor, Managing Director, Blue Chip Vacations:

“We initially came to ForLinux when we were experiencing issues with our hosting. The server we were operating on was too small and this was causing site downtime. Our incumbent supplier did not flag this up to us and we found it hard to contact them, as they would only deal via email, so we took the decision to move and were recommended ForLinux by our development company”.
Infrastructure growth.
“Since we moved, ForLinux have integrated with our IT infrastructure very well indeed. We have expanded our solution and increased the number of servers to provide a more robust solution.
The proactive monitoring of our servers is really useful and fortunately we have had little experience of problems because of this.
It is very easy to speak to a dedicated ForLinux technician, even out of hours and they always seem happy to deal with phone calls even when we should be raising a ticket. The technicians are very knowledgeable and can usually resolve issues quickly. Compared to other hosting and support companies we have dealt with, ForLinux are a world apart. In our experience the level of service provided by ForLinux is very high and the aspect that stands out the most is their ability to put a human face to IT support”.

At ForLinux we pride ourselves on the pro-activeness of the service we deliver. Our systems and process are designed to monitor and detect potential issues before they become problems for our clients. We work hard to constantly and consistently deliver a personal service to all of our clients, we do not operate from call centres or use automated telephone systems. When our clients have an issue, we make sure they speak directly to technicians they know and more importantly, who know them and their systems.
